3. How long does it take to produce a video?
The timeline for video production varies depending on the project's complexity and scope. A simple video production can take a week, while more elaborate productions may take up to a month. We will provide a detailed timeline once we have a comprehensive understanding of exactly what will best suit your needs. One caveat is the weather. At times, that can be a little challenging.
4. How much does video production cost?
The cost of video production depends on various factors such as duration, locations, complexity, locations, talent, music, graphics and other post-production requirements. We can provide a detailed estimate once we have a detailed brief on your exact requirements. Every video production has its own challenges and every video production has its own idiosyncrasies. Any changes to the brief that may affect the budget will be agreed too long before it becomes a problem.

5. Can you help with scriptwriting and concept development?
Because scriptwriting is one of the most important components to a video production, FYI Media offers a full scriptwriting service. It is imperative that we work closely with you to craft a compelling narrative that aligns with your brand and objectives. The script is the foundation for the video – even if it is a picture script.

6. What type of equipment do you use?
We use state-of-the-art equipment, including high-definition cameras (8K at 120 frames per second), professional lighting, state of the art audio gear, and cutting-edge post production services including sound engineering and graphics and effects.

8. Can you produce videos for social media platforms?
Yes, we create engaging content optimised for all of the various social media platforms, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok. We ensure each video meets the specific requirements and best practices of each platform.

9. How do you ensure the video aligns with our brand?
We start by thoroughly understanding your brand, target audience, and message. Throughout the production process, we maintain open communication and provide regular updates to ensure the final product aligns with your brand guidelines and objectives.

10. Can you provide examples of your previous work?
There is a very extensive and varied ‘back catalogue’ of productions. As mentioned earlier – every video is different. And every client is different. For example - health and safety videos. Our H&S videos for Port Otago were very different from Whitestone Contracting’s H&S videos. For Port Otago the locations were at one of their various locations – all around Dunedin but for Whitestone Contracting their locations and work sites were scattered throughout Otago and the McKenzie Country. There are a few examples of our work on the FYI Media website.

11. What if we need revisions after the video is completed?
One of the biggest advantages of video is that it is ‘a living medium’. Video can be edited or updated very economically. Changes to staff, regulations, locations – can all be edited out, updated or replaced. This keeps your video relevant and up to date (legal) in an ever changing market.

12. How do we get started with a video production project?
Getting started is easy! Let’s begin with a chat about what you are after and how what treatment style video will best suit your needs. We’ll talk about your project in detail, answer any questions, and provide a tailored plan and estimate. Then the good stuff happens.
